Shay, an entrepreneur and professional nail technician, founded Vixiny, a luxury nail polish brand based in the United Kingdom. Shay founded Vixiny in 2018 as a result of her strong interest in nail care. Shay has a wealth of knowledge about beauty and self-care as a professional, qualified beauty therapist. The brand name "Vixiny" is derived from the word "vixen," which is associated with confidence, beauty, and sassiness. The Vixiny brand is unapologetic, bold, and vibrant, as well as clean, toxin-free, and vegan. All Vixiny products are paraben-free and contain no harmful ingredients, reducing their impact on the environment and the harmful chemicals on their nails. Black Girl Magic Beauty Brands: Iftiimo Hair and Skincare

Image
I recently discovered Iftiimo, a really interesting brand. After reading their brand story, I learned that the word "Iftiimo" means "light" or "glow" in Somalian, which I found highly inspirational and beautiful. I am a fan of naturally derived skin and haircare products, so I dug deeper into the brand and discovered that it was founded by Qatan Sagaale, a passionate beauty enthusiast and clinical research professional. Because there aren't many well-known black-owned skincare or haircare brands in Australia, I was interested in what they had to offer. Qatan is passionate about natural beauty and the ability of natural ingredients to eliminate skin and hair issues such as dryness and hyperpigmentation, which is a major issue for many people of color.   Iftiimo was born as a result of extensive research and deliberation over ideas and formulations. Qatan creates high-quality, well-thought-out haircare and skincare products that are nourishing, heali...
